Michael G. Crookston, DDS

Dr. Michael G Crookston was raised in Ogden, Utah where he attended Weber State University for his undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.
From a very young age, he desired to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a dentist—after his undergrad he was excited to accept a position from Indiana University School of Dentistry. While in Indiana, he gained an invaluable education, many lifelong friends, and a love of “Hoosier” basketball.
After completing his doctorate in 2003, Dr. Crookston returned to Utah and began his career. Ten years later, in 2013, he completed his lifelong dream to obtain licensure to practice dentistry in the great state of Alaska.
In 2021 he purchased Gentle Dental and relocated from his practice in Eagle River to Alaska’s playground, the Kenai Peninsula, where he currently practices dentistry.
Dr. Crookston believes that an even greater reward than practicing dentistry and performing dental artistry is building rewarding relationships with patients and the community.
Dr. Crookston actively pursues continuing education to remain current and up-to-date on his knowledge in the ever-evolving field of dentistry. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Alaska Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, and the Weber District Dental Society.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Crookston loves spending time with his lovely wife Amy, and their four beautiful children; Anna, 22, Skyler, 20, Alex, 18, and Isabelle, 15. Together they enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, hunting, traveling, and other outdoor adventures.
